Board
The Board is currently responsible for a range of projects and activities, including our website, research, social media, events, and meetings, among others. We plan to further expand these projects and integrate new ideas, promoting an ethical culture in the development and use of Artificial Intelligence. Our goal is to involve as many PUCRS student volunteers as possible, from every field, so that everyone can contribute to the mission of AIRES.


Rafaela Weber Mallmann
President
Postdoctoral researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology for Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability (INCT-IAS). Works on ethics, political philosophy, and AI governance.

Ana Clara Santos Elesbão
Postdoctoral researcher and PhD in Criminal Sciences (PUCRS/Seville). Researcher in technopolitics and social control, with experience in Law and Criminology.

Bernardo Bonifácio Ferreira
Master's candidate in Law at PUCRS (CAPES/PROEX scholarship holder). Works on AI, Computer Vision, Algorithmic Discrimination, and Data Protection with an emphasis on Fundamental Rights.

Guilherme Fernandes Garcia
Researcher at the National Institute of Science and Technology for Artificial Intelligence and Sustainability (INCT-IAS). Master's candidate in Philosophy (PUCRS) focused on AI ethics research. Developer and Systems Analyst.

Raquel Medeiros Souza
Undergraduate student in Business Administration, AI researcher, and enthusiast of technology, management, society, and ethics.

Uellinton Valentim Corsi
PhD candidate and Master in Philosophy (PUCRS), postgraduate degree (UFPI/PUCRS). Researches ethics, metaphysics, and medieval justice. Award-winning professor and researcher.
AIRES Members
Beyond our Board, we count on more than 90 researcher members from diverse fields of knowledge who share an interest in AI and carry out work in the field. AIRES is a space for dialogue and initiatives that contribute to the development and use of ethical and safe AI.
